On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether a golfer will finish within the Top 20. The price of each share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome. As more traders buy shares, the price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities based on collective intelligence. The current price of shares for each golfer indicates the market's assessment of their chances.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final leaderboard for the Baycurrent Classic is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on the official results published by the PGA Tour, determining which golfers ultimately finished within the Top 20. The market will then settle based on those official standings, with shares paying out for those correctly predicted to be in the Top 20. Traders should monitor official sources for the final results to understand the resolution process.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding golfer injuries, changes in form during practice rounds, or weather forecasts affecting playing conditions could all shift probabilities. Unexpected withdrawals from the tournament would also cause substantial movement. Furthermore, real-time performance during the tournament itself—early round scores, key pairings, and notable shots—will heavily influence trading activity and price adjustments. Monitoring these events and their potential impact on individual golfers’ chances is crucial for informed trading in this market.
