On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the probability of an albatross being scored during the Baycurrent Classic, as determined by the collective actions of traders. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date expectations of participants, creating a real-time forecast of the event’s potential outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on whether an albatross (a score of three under par on a single hole) is officially recorded during the Baycurrent Classic tournament. Official tournament results will be used to determine if an albatross was achieved, and this information will be used to settle the market. The final outcome will be based on verified scoring data from the tournament organizers, ensuring a transparent and accurate resolution process.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. News regarding player form, particularly of players known for aggressive play or exceptional shot-making ability, could shift expectations. Course conditions, such as pin placements and wind speed, could also impact the perceived difficulty of scoring an albatross. Unexpected weather changes or any significant disruptions to the tournament schedule could also play a role. Ultimately, any information that alters the perceived probability of a player achieving this rare feat will likely cause movement in this market.
