Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to freely express their beliefs about the likelihood of each outcome. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, they can drive the price in this market to reflect their collective assessment. This can lead to discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public opinion shifts closer to the event.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the price adjusts to reflect the collective expectation. The market is driven by supply and demand; if more people believe Persita Tangerang will score first, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be determined by which team scores the first goal in the Persita Tangerang vs. Bali United match. If no goal is scored, the market will resolve as ‘No Goal Scored’. The resolution will be based on official match data and will be publicly available following the conclusion of the match. The platform will verify the result against these sources to ensure accuracy.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding team lineups, injuries to key players, or changes in coaching staff could significantly impact the perceived probability of either team scoring first. Weather conditions on match day, such as heavy rain or strong winds, could also play a role. Furthermore, pre-match analysis from sports analysts and public sentiment expressed on social media could influence trading activity and shift the odds. Unexpected events during the match itself, like a red card, could also cause rapid price movements.
