Sportsbooks set their odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market relies on individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when there's strong public sentiment or information not fully captured by sportsbook algorithms. It's common to see differences in implied probabilities, with prediction markets sometimes identifying value that sportsbooks miss, or vice versa.
