These markets track how many touchdowns each team scores through passes caught by their players during a college football matchup. The outcomes depend on whether specific players on either team reach certain thresholds of receiving touchdowns in the game, including any overtime periods.
All markets resolve based on the total number of receiving touchdowns scored by each team in the Penn St. vs Michigan college football game scheduled for Oct 17, 2026, including any overtime periods. A receiving touchdown is counted only when the player who catches the pass scores; if another player recovers a fumble and scores, it does not count as a receiving touchdown, unless the original receiving player recovers their own fumble and scores. Successful 2-point conversions, regardless of when they occur, are excluded from the count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to express their own independent beliefs. It’s common to see discrepancies, particularly before significant events or when public perception diverges from expert analysis. Examining these differences can provide insights into where the market believes sportsbooks may be mispricing the probability of certain outcomes in the Penn State vs Michigan game.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, meaning buyers and sellers set the prices for contracts. Each contract represents a specific outcome – for example, Penn State scoring two or more receiving touchdowns. As more people buy contracts predicting an outcome, the price increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is driven by supply and demand, and traders are constantly adjusting their bids and asks based on new information and their own analysis of the Penn State vs Michigan game.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics, specifically the number of receiving touchdowns scored by each team during the Penn State vs Michigan game. The final score and official statistics will be used to determine which contracts payout, and the market will settle accordingly. Traders will be able to see the final outcome and their contract status shortly after the game concludes.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game is played. Any news regarding key player injuries on either the Penn State or Michigan teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favorable to passing or running, could also shift the market. Furthermore, any updates on team strategies or coaching decisions, or even significant shifts in public sentiment based on pre-game analysis, could all contribute to price movements in this market leading up to Oct 17, 2026.
