Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, aiming to profit regardless of the outcome. This market, driven by the collective wisdom of traders on Polymarket, tends to reflect more closely what the true probability of an event is, as participants are incentivized to bet accurately. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, this market dynamically adjusts based on the flow of capital and the evolving opinions of its participants, potentially revealing discrepancies with initial sportsbook offerings.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether PEC Zwolle or SC Cambuur-Leeuwarden will score first. As more people buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adapt to new information and changing sentiment among traders, creating a real-time assessment of the most likely scenario.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which team officially scores the first goal in the PEC Zwolle vs. SC Cambuur-Leeuwarden match. The official match records will serve as the source for determining the winning outcome. Any goals scored during extra time or penalty shootouts will not be considered for the purpose of this market. The final result will be clearly indicated on Polymarket once verified.
