Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a ‘wisdom of the crowd’ that can differ from traditional sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own analysis and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs about the likely outcome. If there’s significant disagreement between the two, it could indicate an opportunity for value betting – where one venue offers more favorable odds than the other. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities as perceived by different groups.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective prediction of all participants. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price indicates the probability that traders assign to a particular outcome occurring. Higher prices suggest a greater belief in that outcome, while lower prices suggest less confidence. The market is entirely driven by user activity and their willingness to take either side of the bet.

This market resolves around Oct 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Badosa vs Ruzic match as reported by a recognized sports authority. The specific winner of the match will determine the winning contract in this market. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution.

Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding player form, injuries to either Paula Badosa or Antonia Ruzic, or changes in playing conditions (court surface, weather) could all cause shifts in trader sentiment. Unexpected results in other matches involving these players, or even broader trends in the world of tennis, could also play a role. Significant betting volume on either side of the market would also likely cause the price to move, reflecting increased conviction among traders.
