Prediction market odds often reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set odds to maximize profit, incorporating a margin for themselves, while this market represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. As a result, you may find that the odds on Polymarket differ from those offered by sportsbooks. These differences can arise from varying assessments of team strengths, injuries, or other factors influencing the match. It's important to consider both sources of information when forming your own prediction.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price adjusts dynamically based on supply and demand, meaning that as more traders bet on a specific outcome, its price will increase, and vice versa. This creates a real-time assessment of the event's probability as perceived by the crowd. The current price indicates what traders collectively believe is the chance of a specific result.
This market resolves around Nov 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be determined by the official result of the Ovsiienko vs. Mytsyk match. The platform will look to established sports news sources and official match results to verify the winner. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will be paid out according to the final market prices at the time of resolution. It's important to note that the resolution process relies on publicly available information to ensure a fair and transparent outcome.
