Description

This market refers to the Overwatch match between Team Liquid and NTMR in the OCS North America Stage 3 Group Stage, initially scheduled for October 24, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET. This market will resolve to "Team Liquid" if Team Liquid win the match against NTMR. This market will resolve to "NTMR" if NTMR win the match against Team Liquid. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before November 7, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 24, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on their own analysis, while this market’s odds are driven by supply and demand as traders buy and sell shares. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or risk assessments. It's common to see prediction markets incorporate information more quickly than sportsbooks, especially regarding late-breaking news or changes in team dynamics. Analyzing these differences can be valuable for informed decision-making.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a specific outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure drives prices down. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adjust to new information and changing sentiment surrounding the Team Liquid vs NTMR match.

This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official results of the Overwatch OCS North America Stage 3 Group Stage match between Team Liquid and NTMR. Specifically, the winning team, or the total number of games played, will determine the outcome of the corresponding shares on Polymarket. The market will then settle, and share values will be adjusted to reflect the actual result of the competition.

Several factors could influence the price movement of this market before resolution. Any news regarding player form, team strategies, or unexpected roster changes for either Team Liquid or NTMR could significantly impact trader sentiment. Major announcements about patch updates to Overwatch that affect gameplay could also shift the odds. Additionally, strong performances by either team in other recent matches, or even influential analyst opinions, could sway the market. Unexpected delays or cancellations of the event itself would also be a key signal for this market.
