PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's market resolves to 'Yes' if *either* team wins, while Polymarket has separate markets for each game and the overall match, with more detailed resolution criteria.Hero tip: Prioritize Polymarket markets for more precise trading opportunities. Kalshi's market is effectively a binary 'match played and decided' outcome.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Detailed resolution criteria for each game and the overall match, including 50-50 resolution for cancellations, incomplete games, and postponed matches. Resolution source is Liquipedia, with fallback to credible reporting.
  • Kalshi: Resolves to 'Yes' if either team wins the match. Lacks specific rules for incomplete games, cancellations, or postponements beyond a simple win condition. 'Originally scheduled' date is referenced.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Overwatch Upper Bracket Semifinal 2 match between Dallas Fuel and Spacestation Gaming in the OCS North America Stage 3 Playoffs, initially scheduled for October 30, 2026 at 5:30 PM ET. This market will resolve to "Dallas Fuel" if Dallas Fuel win the match against Spacestation Gaming. This market will resolve to "Spacestation Gaming" if Spacestation Gaming win the match against Dallas Fuel. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before November 13, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 30, 2026 at 5:30 PM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Kalshi

This event resolves based on the result of the OCS North America Stage 3 2026 Overwatch match between Spacestation Gaming and Dallas Fuel scheduled for October 30, 2026. If the match is postponed beyond 48 hours of its original start time, cancelled before play begins, or forfeited prior to any gameplay, the market resolves at fair market price. If play commences and is later forfeited, the result published by the governing body determines resolution.

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket and Kalshi, this dashboard tracks the consensus view on the outcome of the Dallas Fuel versus Spacestation Gaming match in the Overwatch Champions Series North America Stage 3 Playoffs. Currently, the aggregated volume across both platforms is $3,590, with $3,372 traded in the last 24 hours. The Overwatch League North America market aggregates data to provide a comprehensive view of predictions, allowing users to see where the crowd believes the probability lies for each team to win this best-of-five series. This allows for a broader understanding than looking at either Polymarket or Kalshi in isolation.

Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. In contrast, prediction markets allow traders to freely buy and sell shares, theoretically leading to more accurate probabilities as more information becomes available. While sportsbooks may initially have an edge with expert analysis, this market can quickly incorporate new information and public sentiment, potentially offering a different perspective on the likely winner of the Dallas Fuel and Spacestation Gaming series.

Several signals could shift the probabilities in this market. Any news regarding player health, roster changes, or team performance in practice matches could influence trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about strategic shifts or map picks could also move the market. Furthermore, in-game performance during the series itself – for example, a dominant performance by one team in the first game – will likely cause significant price adjustments. Keep an eye on official Overwatch League channels and esports news outlets for updates that could impact this market.
