Description

These markets assess how many goals will be scored in the first period of an NHL hockey game between Ottawa and New Jersey. Each market sets a different threshold for the total goals, determining whether the scoring pace is high or low in that specific period. The outcomes depend on the combined performance of both teams during the opening frame.

Kalshi

All three markets evaluate the total number of goals scored in the first period of the Ottawa vs New Jersey NHL game scheduled for October 12, 2026, with each market having a distinct threshold: 0.5, 1.5, and 2.5 goals respectively. A market resolves to 'Yes' if the combined goals exceed the specified threshold. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain active and resolve based on the final result. If the game is cancelled or does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Note that overtime goals in the third period do not affect these markets, as they only consider the first period's scoring.
