Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market is driven purely by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe one team is more likely to win than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying levels of confidence in a particular outcome. It’s valuable to compare both to gain a broader perspective.

Public opinion and analysis from sports commentators might also contribute to price fluctuations.
