Prediction market odds often offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their risk and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the wisdom of the crowd. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in how each assesses the probabilities. If you find a significant difference between the implied probability on Polymarket and the odds offered by a sportsbook, it could indicate a potential value opportunity, suggesting the market believes one outcome is more or less likely than the sportsbook does.
