Prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of wisdom than sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective intelligence of traders who are incentivized to make accurate predictions. Often, prediction markets can be more accurate than traditional forecasts, especially when there's significant public interest and information available. However, sportsbook odds can still provide a useful benchmark for comparison, highlighting potential discrepancies in perceived probabilities.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. As more shares are purchased for a specific outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by the collective actions of all traders participating in the market. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date predictions.
This market resolves around Oct 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Orlowski vs. Hajek match, as reported by the governing sporting body. The platform will verify the result against reliable sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their positions based on the final outcome of the match.
