Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often incorporating information and analysis beyond what's readily available to traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, this market allows traders to adjust probabilities dynamically based on new information, such as team news, injuries, or weather conditions. Therefore, you may find that the implied probabilities in this market differ from those offered by sportsbooks, potentially offering a more nuanced assessment of the likely outcome. It’s valuable to compare both to inform your own predictions.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether Orlando City or NYCFC will score first. As more shares are purchased for a particular outcome, the price of those shares increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is driven by supply and demand, meaning that if many traders believe NYCFC is likely to score first, the price of shares representing that outcome will rise. This creates a dynamic and responsive market that reflects the collective intelligence of the traders.

This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which team scores the first goal in the Orlando City vs. NYCFC match. The official match records will serve as the basis for determining the winning outcome. Any potential disputes will be evaluated based on publicly available and widely accepted sources of information regarding the match results. The outcome will be determined by the official game statistics.

Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market.
