These markets track the total points scored by both teams in the second half of an upcoming college football game, including any overtime periods. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes', with higher thresholds representing more scoring being required.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the second half (including overtime) of the Oregon St. vs Fresno St. college football game scheduled for October 31, 2026. For each market, if the combined second-half points exceed the specified threshold, the market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of the original scheduled start time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored in the second half and overtime count toward these markets; points from the first half are excluded. Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in how each assesses the probability of an event. It’s common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information becomes available or as the event draws closer, potentially offering opportunities for arbitrage or informed speculation.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, meaning buyers and sellers submit bids and offers, and contracts trade at the best available prices. The price of a contract represents the probability of the corresponding outcome occurring – for example, a price of 60 indicates a 60% implied probability. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth and trading volume influence price discovery, with higher volume generally leading to more accurate and efficient pricing. Traders are constantly adjusting their positions based on new information and their own assessments of the game.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the total points scored in the second half of the Oregon State versus Fresno State game will be tallied from official game statistics. The final score will be used to determine whether the ‘over’ or ‘under’ contracts will pay out, based on the specific threshold established for this market. Resolution is dependent on the completion of the game and the official recording of the second-half score.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Oregon State or Fresno State would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favoring a high- or low-scoring game, could also impact trading activity. In-game developments during the first half, such as a dominant performance by one team, might lead traders to adjust their expectations for the second half total. Public sentiment and late-breaking analysis could also play a role in shifting prices as the game approaches.
