These markets track the total points scored by both teams in the second half of an upcoming college football game, including any overtime periods. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined in the second half (including overtime) of the Oregon St. vs Colorado St. college football game scheduled for Oct 3, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed the threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored in the second half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, trading remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a ‘vig’ or commission into their odds, ensuring profit regardless of the outcome. This market, however, is driven purely by trader expectations, representing a more collective forecast. While sportsbooks may initially set lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market dynamically adjusts as new information and opinions emerge. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information access, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the event's likely trajectory.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous, order-book style exchange. Traders submit bids (buy orders) and asks (sell orders) for contracts representing the outcome of the Oregon State-Colorado State second half. The current price reflects the highest bid and lowest ask, constantly updating as traders interact. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price represents the probability that the total points scored in the second half will be below the market’s threshold, with higher prices indicating a greater perceived likelihood of the ‘under’ outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the second half of the Oregon State versus Colorado State game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics, determining whether the total points scored fall above or below the market’s specified threshold. The final score will be sourced from official sports data providers and widely available game results, ensuring a transparent and accurate determination of the market’s outcome.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries on either the Oregon State or Colorado State teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also shift expectations. Live game developments during the first half, such as a dominant offensive performance by one team, will undoubtedly affect the perceived probability of the second half total going over or under. Public betting patterns and expert analysis released before and during the game can also contribute to price fluctuations.
