Description

This prediction market asks which team will score the first goal in a soccer match between Olympique de Marseille and Toulouse FC. The market considers goals scored within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalty shoot-outs. A 'Neither' outcome is possible if no goals are scored within that timeframe.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict utilize identical resolution criteria, including the 90-minute timeframe, 'Neither' outcome, postponement/cancellation handling, and data source hierarchy.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers.

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the winner.
  • If no team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Postponed matches extend the market until completion.
  • Cancelled matches (with no makeup game) resolve to 'Neither'.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the match's conclusion, Flashscore data will be used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore will be used. If both are unavailable, a consensus of credible reporting will be used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50 (or 'Draw' where applicable).
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores made *after* market resolution will not be considered.
Timing: Resolution will occur as soon as the official final result is available, or within 24 hours of the event's conclusion if fallback data sources are required. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect a more accurate forecast than traditional sportsbook odds. This is because prediction markets incentivize participants to express their true beliefs, while sportsbooks need to account for profit margins and potential biases. While sportsbooks set odds based on statistical models and expert opinions, this market aggregates the diverse knowledge of many individuals, potentially leading to more efficient price discovery. However, sportsbook odds can still provide valuable context, and discrepancies can present arbitrage opportunities for informed traders.

Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Predict may differ due to variations in user base, trading volume, and market-specific rules. Polymarket currently favors Olympique de Marseille to score first at an implied probability, while Predict leans toward Toulouse FC. These discrepancies can arise from differing levels of information available to traders on each platform, or simply from the unique risk preferences of their respective communities. Furthermore, the volume traded on each platform—currently $65—influences price stability and responsiveness to new information.
