Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of informed traders, which can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market is driven purely by participants’ beliefs about the outcome. Generally, you'll find that prediction markets tend to be more accurate than traditional betting markets, especially when significant information isn’t widely available. However, sportsbook odds can still provide a useful benchmark for comparison, and discrepancies may present opportunities for arbitrage or informed trading.

This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the outcome will be determined by which team—Olympique de Marseille or Toulouse FC—scores the first goal during the first half of the match. The official match records will serve as the source of truth for determining the winning outcome. Any goals scored during extra time or a penalty shootout will not be considered for the purposes of this market’s resolution.

Several factors could significantly influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Olympique de Marseille or Toulouse FC would likely cause price adjustments. Changes in team form, such as a surprising win or loss in a recent match, could also shift trader sentiment. Even pre-match tactical announcements or weather conditions could impact the perceived probabilities. Unexpected lineup changes announced shortly before kickoff are also likely to move the market, as they alter the expected performance of each team.
