Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, the odds on Polymarket may diverge. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds, especially when there’s strong public interest and active trading in this market, but this isn’t guaranteed.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular team, the price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand among traders on Polymarket, and is not influenced by external factors or a central authority setting the odds.

This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on determining which team scores the first goal in the match between Olimpija Ljubljana and Mura Murska Sobota. If neither team scores, that outcome will be considered the result. The market will settle based on official match data, ensuring a transparent and verifiable outcome for all traders participating in this market.

Several factors could influence the trading activity and price movement in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, suspensions, or changes in the starting lineup could significantly shift the odds. Unexpected weather conditions or tactical adjustments announced before the match could also play a role. Furthermore, significant bets placed by large traders on Polymarket could create short-term volatility. General public sentiment and any pre-match analysis from sports commentators could also contribute to shifts in this market’s price.
