This set of markets tracks how many touchdowns are scored through receptions by each team in an upcoming college football game. The outcomes depend on whether specific players achieve certain thresholds of receiving touchdowns during the match.
These markets resolve based on the number of receiving touchdowns scored by Ole Miss and Vanderbilt in their game scheduled for October 10, 2026. A receiving touchdown is counted when a player catches the ball and scores without another player recovering a fumble for the score. Touchdowns scored in overtime count toward the total, but successful two-point conversions do not. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to express their own independent beliefs about the likelihood of a team scoring touchdowns. Often, prediction markets are more accurate than traditional odds, especially when considering the information aggregated from many participants. However, sportsbook odds offer a readily available comparison point for evaluating the perceived probabilities in this market.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether a team will score a touchdown. The price of a contract ranges from 0 to 100, representing the implied probability of that outcome. As more traders buy contracts, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the market participants and provides a real-time assessment of the likelihood of touchdowns being scored in the Ole Miss-Vanderbilt game.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on whether each team scores at least one touchdown during the Ole Miss versus Vanderbilt football game. Official game statistics and scoring summaries will be used to determine the final result. The market will then settle, and traders will receive payouts based on their positions and the actual outcome of the game.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries on either the Ole Miss or Vanderbilt teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if severe weather is predicted, could also impact the market, as they affect the likelihood of a passing or running game. Finally, any late-breaking news or analysis regarding team strategies or matchups could shift trader sentiment and cause the price of contracts in this market to fluctuate.
