These markets evaluate how many points will be scored in the final quarter of an upcoming college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that specific period. The outcome depends solely on the game's fourth-quarter performance, excluding any overtime scoring.
All markets resolve based solely on the total points scored by both teams during the fourth quarter (excluding overtime) of the Ole Miss vs Texas college football game scheduled for October 24, 2026. Each market has a specific numerical threshold: if the combined fourth-quarter points exceed the threshold (2.5, 5.5, 7.5, 10.5, 12.5, 13.5, 16.5, 19.5, 20.5, 23.5, or 27.5), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored during regulation fourth-quarter play count—overtime points are excluded from all calculations.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by analysts who consider various factors, such as team statistics and player injuries. This market, however, is driven by individuals trading contracts based on their own beliefs, leading to a dynamic price that can diverge from sportsbook lines. It's common to see differences, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts regarding the Ole Miss vs Texas game.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of a particular outcome occurring – in this case, the total points scored in the 4th quarter falling within a specific range. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy contracts predicting a higher score, the price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism reflects the collective intelligence of the traders participating in the market, creating a real-time assessment of the likely outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the 4th quarter of the Ole Miss vs Texas game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics, ensuring an accurate and transparent determination of whether the contracts will pay out. Traders will be able to see the final result and whether their predictions were correct shortly after the game concludes, allowing for a swift and reliable settlement of all outstanding contracts.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Ole Miss or Texas would likely cause price fluctuations. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if severe weather is predicted, could also influence the market, as weather can impact scoring. Additionally, late-breaking news about coaching strategies or team morale could shift trader sentiment. Even significant betting activity in traditional sportsbooks could indirectly affect the price as information spreads and traders adjust their positions.
