This market focuses on determining which team will score more points in the final quarter of an upcoming college football game between Oklahoma State and Iowa State. It provides a way to speculate on the momentum and performance of each team specifically in the last quarter of play, excluding any overtime periods.
The market resolves based on which team scores the most points during the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Oklahoma St. vs Iowa St. college football game scheduled for October 31, 2026. If Iowa State scores more points in that quarter, the market resolves to Yes for Iowa State. If Oklahoma State scores more points, the market resolves to Yes for Oklahoma State. If both teams score the same number of points, the market resolves to Yes for the Tie outcome. Should the game be postponed but commence within 48 hours of its original start time, the market remains active and resolves according to the actual 4th quarter results. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, the market will resolve to a fair price. Only points scored during the 4th quarter—excluding overtime—are considered for resolution purposes.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market’s prices are driven purely by individuals willing to buy or sell based on their own analysis. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook lines, it could indicate that the crowd believes the sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular outcome. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither is guaranteed to be correct.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the official game results will be used to determine which team was leading when the 4th quarter concluded. The team ahead at that point will be declared the winner of this market. Traders who correctly predicted the 4th quarter winner will receive a payout based on the final market price at resolution, while those who predicted incorrectly will forfeit their stake.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategy, or even weather conditions could shift trader sentiment. Live game events, such as scoring drives, turnovers, or key defensive stops, will undoubtedly cause significant price fluctuations. Unexpected performance from either team, or even a shift in public perception based on media coverage, could also lead to substantial movement in this market. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for anyone looking to trade before the game concludes.
