This market focuses on predicting the outcome of a specific segment of a college football game between Oklahoma State and Iowa State. The resolution depends solely on the point differential during the third quarter, ignoring the rest of the game.
The markets resolve based on the point differential in the third quarter of the Oklahoma State vs Iowa State college football game scheduled for October 31, 2026. If Oklahoma State wins by exceeding specified point margins—from 1.5 to over 10.5 points—the corresponding 'Oklahoma St. wins by over X points' markets resolve to Yes. Conversely, if Iowa State achieves margins from over 2.5 to over 10.5 points, the relevant 'Iowa St. wins by over X points' markets resolve to Yes. Only points scored during the third quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, trading continues and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective prediction of informed traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, analytical approaches, or simply variations in opinion. It’s common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information becomes available or as the event draws closer. Examining these differences can offer valuable insights into public and expert sentiment.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final 3rd quarter spread of the Oklahoma St. vs Iowa St. game will be used to determine whether Oklahoma St. won the 3rd quarter by more than 2.5 points, or not. The resolution will be based on official game statistics and will be publicly available following the conclusion of the game. Traders will then be paid out based on their positions in this market.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either Oklahoma St. or Iowa St. could significantly shift expectations. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also impact the market. Furthermore, updates on team strategies or coaching decisions, as well as any significant shifts in public sentiment, could all contribute to price movements. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for traders looking to capitalize on opportunities.
