These markets track the total points scored by both teams in the first half of a college football game between Ohio and Sacramento State. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the first half of the Ohio vs Sacramento State college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026. For each market, if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold (e.g., 2.5, 6.5, 9.5 points, etc.), the market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. Only points scored in the first half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on statistical models and public betting patterns, aiming to balance action on both sides. This market, however, is driven by individuals who are actively researching and expressing their beliefs about the likely outcome. As a result, you may see discrepancies between the implied probabilities in this market and those offered by sportsbooks, potentially revealing areas where the crowd’s wisdom diverges from expert analysis or conventional wisdom regarding the Ohio-Sacramento State game.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of the event occurring – in this case, the first-half total going over or under the specified number. As more traders buy contracts predicting one outcome, the price increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market dynamically adjusts to new information and trader sentiment, providing a real-time assessment of expectations for the Ohio-Sacramento State game’s first-half scoring total. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, which helps refine the market price.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final first-half total points scored in the Ohio-Sacramento State game will be used to determine whether the 'over' or 'under' contracts will pay out. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring a transparent and objective determination of the result. Traders will then receive their payouts based on the final outcome and their positions in this market.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or changes to the starting lineups for either Ohio or Sacramento State would likely cause movement. Significant shifts in public perception, perhaps driven by updated statistical analysis or expert predictions, could also impact trading activity. Game-day developments, such as the early pace of play or unexpected scoring bursts, could lead to rapid adjustments in the market price as traders react to the unfolding events. Overall team performance and scoring trends in recent games will also play a role.
