This set of markets tracks how many points Ohio State and USC will score together in the final quarter of their college football matchup. Each market has a different threshold, allowing participants to speculate on various levels of scoring intensity in the last quarter of play.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Ohio St. vs USC college football game scheduled for Oct 31, 2026. Each individual market has a specific point threshold; if the combined score exceeds that threshold, the market resolves to Yes, otherwise No. For all markets, only points scored in the 4th quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Generally, prediction markets like Kalshi often reflect information beyond what is captured in traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd. If polls or analysts predict a high-scoring fourth quarter, we might see the 'over' contracts increase in price on Kalshi. However, the market can and often does diverge from these expectations as traders weigh different factors and new information emerges.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the total points scored in the fourth quarter of the Ohio State vs USC game will be over or under 10.5. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price fluctuates based on supply and demand; if more people believe the 'over' will hit, the price of those contracts will rise, and vice versa.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the fourth quarter of the Ohio State vs USC game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics, specifically the total points scored during the fourth quarter. The platform will then determine whether the total points exceeded 10.5, triggering a payout to those who correctly predicted the outcome.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Ohio State or USC could significantly shift expectations about scoring potential. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact the passing game, could also move the market. Furthermore, in-game performance during the first three quarters—for example, if one team establishes a dominant offensive rhythm—could lead traders to adjust their predictions and impact the price of contracts in this market.
