Two professional Dota 2 teams, OG and Team Yandex, compete in a best-of series where each map outcome matters. The second map's result will determine the winner of this specific market, reflecting the teams' strategies and performance under pressure.
This market resolves based on the winner of map 2 in the specified OG vs. Team Yandex Dota 2 match. If either team wins map 2, the corresponding market resolves to Yes. If the match or map is postponed beyond 48 hours, cancelled, or forfeited before play begins, the market resolves to the fair market price. If a map begins and is later forfeited, the result follows the official governing body's decision. Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect a different set of information than sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks typically set lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. As a result, prediction market prices can sometimes diverge from sportsbook lines, especially when there is significant public information or a strong consensus forming among traders. It's common to see prediction markets more accurately reflect true probabilities as the event approaches.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of a specific outcome, and the price fluctuates based on supply and demand. The price of a contract represents the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The higher the price, the greater the perceived chance of that outcome. Traders are constantly adjusting their positions, reacting to new information and shifting their beliefs about the likely winner of map 2 between OG and Team Yandex.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning team of map 2 in the OG vs. Team Yandex match will determine the outcome. The resolution will be based on the official results published by the tournament organizers. Traders holding contracts on the winning team will receive a payout, while those holding contracts on the losing team will forfeit their investment. The final price of the contracts at resolution will reflect the accuracy of the market's predictions.
Several signals could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding player form, team strategies, or potential roster changes for either OG or Team Yandex could significantly impact trader sentiment. In-game performance during earlier matches in the series could also shift expectations. Unexpected announcements related to the tournament itself, such as changes to the schedule or venue, could introduce uncertainty. Ultimately, any information that alters the perceived probability of either team winning map 2 has the potential to move this market.
