This market tracks the outcome of an Overwatch esports match between two teams in a professional league. The result depends solely on which team secures a victory in the scheduled game, with specific conditions applied if the match is altered or incomplete.
The market resolves based on the result of the OCS Korea Stage 3 2026 Overwatch match between ZETA DIVISION and Poker Face, originally scheduled for October 11, 2026. If ZETA DIVISION wins, their market resolves to Yes, and Poker Face’s resolves to No, and vice versa. If the match is postponed beyond 48 hours of its scheduled start time, cancelled before play begins, or forfeited prior to any gameplay, both markets resolve to the fair market price. If the match starts but is later forfeited, the outcome follows the official result declared by the governing body or tournament organizer.
Prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set initial lines to balance betting action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, analytical approaches, or simply varying levels of confidence in a particular team. If sportsbook odds significantly differ from those observed in this market, it may signal an opportunity for informed traders to capitalize on perceived mispricings.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome. The price of a contract directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy contracts for a particular team, the price increases, reflecting a growing belief in their chances of winning. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market dynamically adjusts as new information becomes available and traders update their assessments, resulting in a constantly evolving price discovery process.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the OCS Korea Stage 3 match between ZETA DIVISION and Poker Face. The team declared the winner by the official tournament organizers will determine the winning contract in this market. Traders holding contracts for the winning team will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. News regarding team rosters, player performance, strategic changes, or any unexpected developments impacting either ZETA DIVISION or Poker Face could all serve as catalysts. Major upsets in other matches within the OCS Korea Stage 3 tournament could also affect perceptions of team strength and influence trading behavior. Furthermore, any public statements from analysts or prominent figures in the Overwatch esports scene might sway market sentiment and lead to price fluctuations.
