Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin for themselves. This market, being driven by the collective wisdom of traders, tends to be more efficient and reflects the true probabilities as perceived by the crowd. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on statistical models and expert opinions, this market dynamically adjusts as new information and sentiment emerge. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions on team form, injuries, or other relevant factors.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Nottingham Forest and Arsenal will score 3 or more total goals. The price of a contract fluctuates based on supply and demand. When more traders believe the event will occur, the price rises, and vice versa. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the collective assessment of all participants, making it a dynamic and real-time indicator of expectations. Traders aim to profit by accurately predicting the outcome and capitalizing on price discrepancies.

This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Nottingham Forest versus Arsenal match will be used to determine if 3 or more total goals were scored. The result will be sourced from official match data and widely available sports news outlets. Traders holding contracts predicting 3 or more goals will receive a payout if the condition is met, while those holding contracts predicting fewer goals will forfeit their stake. The market’s resolution is based on the official match statistics.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before Oct 19, 2026. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Nottingham Forest or Arsenal would likely have a significant impact. Tactical changes announced by either manager, such as a more attacking or defensive formation, could also shift expectations. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could affect the style of play and goal-scoring potential. Even public sentiment, reflected in social media or expert predictions, can contribute to price movements as traders react to new information and adjust their positions.
