These markets track the total points scored by both teams during the third quarter of a college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to trigger a 'Yes' outcome.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams specifically during the third quarter of the Northwestern vs Michigan St. college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026. Each market has a unique threshold, ranging from more than 2.5 points to more than 27.5 points. If the cumulative points exceed the specified threshold for a given market, it resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. Postponements are accounted for: if the game starts within 48 hours of the original time, markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored in the third quarter count toward these markets.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. It's common to see discrepancies emerge, especially as new information becomes available or public sentiment shifts. Analyzing these differences can be valuable for identifying potential opportunities, though it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities as perceived by different groups.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the third quarter between Northwestern and Michigan State will be used to determine whether the total points scored fall above or below the threshold established by the market. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring a transparent and objective outcome. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their strategies for future markets.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Northwestern or Michigan State would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they affect the passing or running game, could also shift expectations. Furthermore, in-game performance during the first and second quarters, such as a dominant offensive showing by one team, could lead to adjustments in the market price. Public sentiment and betting trends observed elsewhere could also contribute to movement in this market.
