Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on internal models and aim to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets allow traders to openly express their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from the sportsbook's initial assessment. While not always the case, this market may offer more accurate probabilities as more information is incorporated by traders, potentially revealing insights not captured by conventional bookmakers.
