In the upcoming UEFA Nations League game between Northern Ireland and Georgia, scheduled for October 5, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Northern Ireland vs. Georgia match originally scheduled for October 5, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows participants to directly express their beliefs about the probability of each exact score. If there's significant disagreement between the two, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on Polymarket and a sportsbook. However, these opportunities are often short-lived as markets adjust. It’s common to see prediction markets become more accurate closer to the event date as more information is factored in.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact score outcomes. The price of each share reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust accordingly, creating a dynamic and real-time assessment of the potential results of the Northern Ireland vs. Georgia match. The market's efficiency depends on the volume of traders and the information they incorporate into their decisions.
This market resolves around Oct 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official, final result of the Northern Ireland vs. Georgia match, specifically the exact score as determined by the governing football association. The platform will verify the result against established sports data sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their positions based on the confirmed outcome of the match.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, team formations, or changes in coaching staff for either Northern Ireland or Georgia could significantly shift expectations. Weather conditions on match day, particularly if they deviate from the forecast, could also impact the likely scoreline. Furthermore, any unexpected geopolitical events or major news stories that affect public attention or team morale could introduce volatility. As the match approaches, even minor updates or rumors can lead to substantial price movements in this market.
