Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set their odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market incorporates a broader range of information and opinions from traders. As more information becomes available – such as injury reports or weather forecasts – and as the event approaches, the odds on Kalshi may converge with or diverge from sportsbook odds. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional bookmakers in accuracy, especially closer to the event’s start.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the probability of each outcome. The price of a contract reflects the market's collective assessment of that outcome's likelihood. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe an outcome is likely, the higher the contract price will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market odds constantly adjust to incorporate new information and changing sentiment. The current price reflects the aggregated predictions of all participants.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
