Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from sportsbook odds due to varying levels of information and differing incentives. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market allows traders to directly bet against each other. It’s common to see this market’s probabilities align with sportsbook lines, but divergences can occur as new information emerges or as different groups of bettors weigh factors differently. Analyzing these differences can potentially reveal opportunities for informed traders.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous exchange where traders buy and sell contracts representing possible outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. As more people buy contracts for a specific result, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived chance of that outcome. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price movements are driven by the collective opinions of those trading on Predict and can be seen as a forecast of the second half’s result.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the second half of the North Macedonia vs. Scotland match. The outcome will be determined by which team scores more goals during the second 45-minute period, or if the match ends in a draw during that time. The platform will verify the result against official sources to ensure accuracy and finalize the market.
Several signals could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either North Macedonia or Scotland could significantly shift probabilities. Tactical changes announced by either team’s manager, or even early performance in the first half of the match, could also cause movement. Unexpected weather conditions or referee decisions during the second half could also impact trader sentiment. Overall, any information that alters perceptions of each team’s chances of winning the second half will likely move this market.
