Prediction market odds often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the different incentives and information sources involved. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while prediction markets reflect the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. This can lead to prediction markets being more efficient at incorporating new information and reflecting true probabilities. While sportsbooks may initially have an edge due to their modeling, the dynamic nature of this market and the diverse perspectives of its participants can often result in more accurate odds over time.
