This market tracks the performance of two professional esports teams competing in the first map of their scheduled match. The outcome depends on which team secures victory in this initial phase of play, reflecting strategic skill and team coordination under competitive pressure.
The market resolves based on the result of map 1 in the VCT Champions 2026 match between Nongshim RedForce and Team Vitality, scheduled for October 8, 2026, at 8:00 AM EDT. If Nongshim RedForce wins map 1, its corresponding market resolves to Yes; if Team Vitality wins map 1, its corresponding market resolves to Yes. If the match or map is postponed beyond 48 hours of its scheduled start time, cancelled, or forfeited before any play begins, both markets resolve to the fair market price. If a map begins and is later forfeited, the market resolves according to the official result published by the tournament organizer. Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in how each assesses the probability of a particular result. It’s common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information becomes available.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of different outcomes. The price of a contract reflects the market’s assessment of that outcome’s likelihood. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust, creating a dynamic and real-time forecast. The current price indicates what traders believe is a fair value for the probability of a specific team winning Map 1.
This market resolves around Oct 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of Map 1 in the Nongshim RedForce versus Team Vitality match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning team as determined by the official League of Legends game results will be the basis for settlement. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will receive a payout based on the final market prices at resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding player form, team strategies, or unexpected roster changes for either Nongshim RedForce or Team Vitality could significantly shift trader sentiment. In-game performance during other matches leading up to this event, or even early game events within Map 1 itself, could also cause rapid price adjustments. Major upsets in other professional League of Legends matches could also indirectly impact this market.
