Prediction market odds, like those found on Kalshi and Predict, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the differing incentives and information sources. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while prediction markets reflect the collective wisdom of traders incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. This market, specifically, may show discrepancies because prediction markets can incorporate a wider range of information, including news, social sentiment, and even insider knowledge. Furthermore, the volume traded on these platforms can influence the odds, creating a dynamic pricing mechanism not always present in sportsbooks.
