Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. However, it’s important to note that prediction markets often incorporate information faster than sportsbooks, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities as the event approaches.
