This market assesses the overall manner in which the fight concludes, regardless of which fighter achieves it. It includes knockout, technical knockout, disqualification, submission, decision, or a draw/no contest as possible outcomes.
The market resolves to Yes if the fight ends by the specified method—KO/TKO/DQ, Submission, Decision, or Draw/No Contest—during the bout originally scheduled for October 24, 2026. A technical decision is considered a decision and does not count as a win by KO/TKO/DQ or Submission. Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while Kalshi allows traders to directly assess probabilities. This can lead to discrepancies, with this market potentially offering different implied probabilities for each finish method compared to traditional sportsbooks. It's common to see prediction markets act as an aggregate of informed opinions, sometimes correcting for biases found in sportsbook lines. Keep in mind that sportsbook odds are influenced by public betting patterns, while this market is driven by individual traders.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing each finish method, and the price of each contract reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that outcome. As more traders participate, the prices converge towards what the market considers a fair representation of the likelihood of each finish method. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a knockout is likely, they will buy knockout contracts, driving up the price.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The official result declared by the relevant combat sports authority will determine the winning finish method. If the fight ends by knockout, the 'Fight ends by KO/TKO/DQ?' outcome will win. If it ends by submission, that outcome will win. Should the fight conclude by decision, the 'Fight ends by Decision' outcome will be the winner. The resolution will be based on the official fight record.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding injuries to either fighter, changes in their training regimens, or even pre-fight press conference statements could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected betting trends in traditional sportsbooks could also impact this market, as traders may attempt to capitalize on perceived mispricings. Furthermore, analysis from MMA experts and predictions from reputable sources could sway opinions and drive volume. A late change in weight class or a significant shift in public perception could also move the odds.
