In the upcoming Premier League game between Newcastle United FC and Everton FC, scheduled for November 2, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the halftime score of the Newcastle United FC vs. Everton FC match originally scheduled for November 2, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET, considering only goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time; second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the likelihood of each outcome. If a significant discrepancy emerges, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on Polymarket and a sportsbook. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate information and opinions faster than sportsbooks, especially as new information becomes available.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the final score at the end of the first half of the Newcastle United FC versus Everton FC match will determine the winning share. The resolution will be based on the official result as reported by a trusted sports data provider. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final outcome of the first half.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Newcastle United or Everton could significantly shift expectations. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before the match could also impact the perceived probabilities. Even weather conditions on match day, such as heavy rain or strong winds, might influence the style of play and therefore the likely first-half score. Any significant public sentiment shifts, reflected in analyst predictions, could also move this market.
