Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which may be influenced by factors like house bias or initial public perception. Sportsbooks typically set initial lines to balance betting action, while this market allows traders to freely adjust probabilities based on their own analysis and information. It’s common to see discrepancies emerge, especially as new information becomes available or as public sentiment shifts. Examining these differences can provide insights into where the market believes sportsbooks might be mispricing the event.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market's current assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust dynamically, creating a real-time probability forecast. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means the price you see is solely determined by supply and demand within Kalshi, and doesn't reflect prices on any other venue. The current volume traded indicates the level of interest and conviction among traders.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final result of the Newcastle vs Liverpool match, as reported by official sources, will determine the winning contract. The resolution process relies on publicly available and independently verifiable information to ensure accuracy and transparency.
