Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamics of supply and demand within the prediction market. It’s common to see prediction markets move independently of sportsbook odds, especially as new information becomes available leading up to the match.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing the outcome. The price of a contract reflects the market’s assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy contracts predicting over 2.5 goals, the price increases, and vice-versa. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism means the odds are constantly adjusting based on real-time supply and demand, offering a unique insight into market sentiment regarding the Newcastle vs Everton match. The current price reflects the aggregated beliefs of all participants.

This market resolves around Nov 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Several factors could influence the price of this market before the match concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Newcastle or Everton would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced by the managers could also shift expectations. Unexpected news or events related to either team’s performance or morale could also contribute to price movements in this market.
