Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Australia Women and New Zealand Women scheduled for October 18 2026 at 4:15 AM ET in New Zealand Women Tour of Australia T20s. The outcome corresponding to Australia Women will be considered correct if Australia Women is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to New Zealand Women will be considered correct if New Zealand Women is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. Comparing the two can be a useful exercise for informed decision-making, but remember that each represents a unique assessment of probability. Analysts often use both to refine their own predictions.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the toss. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of each outcome. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price is determined solely by supply and demand – if more people believe Australia will win the toss, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date information.

This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the toss in the Australia vs New Zealand T20 match. The platform will verify the outcome against publicly available sources to ensure accuracy. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution. It’s important to monitor the event closely as it approaches to stay informed about any potential delays or changes.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding team lineups, player injuries, or weather conditions could significantly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about pitch conditions or strategic changes could also play a role. Furthermore, major shifts in public opinion, as reflected in sports news and analysis, might impact trading activity. The closer we get to Oct 25, 2026, the more sensitive the market will likely be to these types of developments. Monitoring these signals is crucial for anyone looking to trade in this market.
