Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk assessment, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. However, as the event draws closer, the odds on Polymarket tend to converge with sportsbook odds as more information becomes publicly available and traders refine their predictions. Comparing these odds can be a useful strategy for identifying potential value.
