The event tracks individual player performance in a specific baseball game, focusing on achieving certain hit thresholds. Each market evaluates whether designated players reach specified hit counts during the match. Outcomes depend strictly on the players' in-game hitting statistics when they appear as starters with plate appearances.
All markets resolve based on whether specified players record a minimum number of hits during the New York Yankees vs Tampa Bay Rays game scheduled for October 5, 2026. A 'Yes' outcome occurs only if the player is in the starting lineup, records at least one plate appearance, and achieves the exact hit threshold defined in the market (1+, 2+, or 3+ hits). If a player is scratched, does not start, or enters the game as a pinch-hitter, all markets for that player resolve to the fair market price regardless of later performance. Pinch-hit at-bats never count toward any hit threshold. Settlement exclusively considers official game statistics from the governing league, with Kalshi explicitly disclaiming any affiliation or endorsement by the league or its entities.
