Description

This event tracks whether specific players score a certain number of touchdowns in an upcoming football game between New York G and Washington. The markets cover various players with thresholds of scoring one or more touchdowns up to two or more touchdowns.

Kalshi

All markets are designated as protected, meaning if a player participates in at least one play during the first half but does not participate in any play after the first half (including overtime), the contract resolves to the fair price prior to the game's kickoff unless the player meets the required touchdown threshold, in which case it settles based on actual statistics. If the player participates in any play after the first half, the contract settles based on actual statistics regardless of first-half involvement. Participation in a play nullified by penalty does not count, and a player who never participates is subject to the fair price non-participation rule. The protected designation applies only to full-game contracts with an above or at-least payout criterion. This event includes the full game timeframe, including overtime. Passing touchdowns do not count toward the totals for the players, and team defense/special-teams selections are settled on actual touchdowns without the player participation exception applying to them.

Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines influenced by factors like team news and public perception, while this market evolves as traders react to information and refine their predictions. You may find that this market offers a different perspective on the probability of a certain number of touchdowns being scored, potentially identifying discrepancies between public sentiment and informed trading activity. It’s often useful to compare the two to gain a broader understanding of the event’s potential outcomes.

On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market’s collective assessment of its probability. As more traders participate, the prices adjust, providing a dynamic and real-time estimation of potential touchdown totals. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means that the price movements are driven entirely by supply and demand within Kalshi, and are not influenced by external factors or other prediction venues.

This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final outcome will be determined by the official number of touchdowns scored in the New York G versus Washington game, as reported by official league sources. The market will settle to 100 for the outcome that matches the actual result. It’s important to note that the resolution relies on publicly available data and does not involve any subjective interpretation.

Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries on either team – particularly quarterbacks or primary receiving targets – would likely cause price fluctuations. Changes in weather forecasts, especially conditions expected to favor either passing or running offenses, could also influence trading activity. Unexpected coaching decisions or strategic adjustments announced before the game could also move the market. Finally, any significant public sentiment shifts, perhaps driven by expert analysis or breaking news, could impact the volume and pricing within this market.
