The market resolves based on which team scores the first touchdown in the New York G vs Houston Pro Football game originally scheduled for Oct 25, 2026. All touchdowns count, including those scored by offensive, defensive, and special teams units. If the first touchdown occurs in overtime, the market for that team resolves to Yes. If neither team scores a touchdown during the entire game, including overtime, the market titled No team scores a TD resolves to Yes. Postponements within 48 hours of the original start time do not affect resolution, which will instead be based on the official final result. Games not starting within 48 hours of the scheduled time will resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the Governing League, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a team is more likely to score first than sportsbooks suggest, the price will move accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. Analyzing these differences can offer valuable insights into potential value opportunities.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing each team to score the first touchdown, and the price fluctuates based on supply and demand. As more people buy contracts for a particular team, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability of that outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price reflects the collective assessment of all participants, creating a dynamic and real-time estimation of the likelihood of each team scoring first. The platform ensures fair trading and transparent price discovery.
