Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish initial lines based on their own analyses, aiming to balance action on both sides. This market, however, is driven by individuals trading based on their own information and beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook’s line is inaccurate, they can influence the price on Kalshi, causing it to diverge. This dynamic can lead to prediction market odds offering a different perspective on the likely outcome than traditional sportsbooks.

On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing a 'yes' or 'no' outcome to the question of which team will win the first half. The price of these contracts reflects the market’s collective probability assessment. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts, providing a real-time gauge of expectations. The closer the event gets, the more volatile the price may become as traders refine their predictions. The current price indicates the probability of New Haven winning the first half, as determined by traders on the platform.

This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on which team is leading at the end of the first half of the New Haven vs Central Connecticut St. game.
