Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while prediction markets allow anyone to trade on their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from expert opinion. The efficiency of prediction markets in aggregating information can sometimes result in more accurate forecasts, though sportsbooks benefit from established infrastructure and regulatory oversight. It's valuable to compare both to form a well-rounded view.
