These markets track specific combinations of first-half and full-game outcomes in an upcoming football match. Each market requires both the first-half result and the final game result to match a predetermined scenario for resolution. The outcomes cover all possible win/draw scenarios for both halves and the full match.
All markets resolve based on the combined results of the first half and the full game (including overtime) of the New England vs Miami Pro Football game scheduled for Nov 1, 2026. For any market to resolve as Yes, both the specified first-half result and the specified full-game result must occur exactly as described. If either the first-half or full-game result does not match the market's conditions, the market resolves to No. Postponements are permitted if the game starts within 48 hours of the original time, in which case markets remain open and resolve based on the final official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Each market corresponds to one specific combination of first-half and full-game outcomes, covering all possible win/draw scenarios for both periods.
Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set odds to reflect public perception and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who have 'skin in the game'. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing an outcome, they can take the opposite position on Kalshi, potentially driving the odds closer to what they believe is the true probability. This can lead to discrepancies between the two, particularly as new information emerges.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market’s probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy contracts for a particular result, the price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market dynamically adjusts as traders react to news, analysis, and each other’s actions, creating a real-time assessment of the game’s likely result. This differs from fixed-odds betting, as the odds aren't set by a bookmaker but are determined by supply and demand.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the New England vs Miami game, specifically the winner of the first half and the final game result as determined by official game statistics. The platform will verify the outcome against these sources to determine which contracts will pay out, and at what value, based on the final result of the game.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries for either the New England or Miami teams would likely cause movement, as would updates on weather conditions that might affect gameplay. Significant shifts in public opinion, as reflected in sports news and analysis, could also influence trader behavior. Unexpected announcements about coaching strategies or team lineups could also lead to changes in the odds. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for anyone looking to trade in this market.
